Dear Kepuhi Beach Resort Homeowner,

It is getting close to that time of year when many owners begin planning their return to Molokai. Your Board of Directors and AOAO staff are hard at work preparing for the coming fall season as well as the annual homeowners meeting. There are a lot of improvements on property and I’m confident everyone will be pleased with the progress made over this past year.

The Hotel Lot common areas are dramatically improved.

The AOAO workshop area has been reorganized and improved with more covered space and a fenced enclosure.

An additional large storage facility down by the old tennis courts has been secured for inside storage of AOAO equipment, building materials, and supplies.

Irrigation and wire shelving were installed in the greenhouse.

A few building projects are currently underway which we would like to get homeowner feedback on before expanding them throughout the complex. These include covers over the boilers, roofing material on the awnings and changing from carpets on our 2nd floor landings to waterproof decking.

A number of purchases have been made and/or are in process including; additional pool furniture and tables, a second AED, more tiki torches, new BBQ’s, a back-up riding lawnmower and a pressure washer.

The irrigation system was completely reviewed and overhauled with new controllers, lines and heads installed. The irrigation schedule and times were also reworked to maximize efficiency and avoid overlapping pressure problems.

A lot of flood control adjustments were made on property due to the record rains this past winter. New drains, berms, and swales were installed and new protocols established for system maintenance.

Aloha,

Jeff Kent
President, Kepuhi Beach Resort AOAO
